Hamburger got its name from a city called Hamburg in Germany. People there enjoyed
beef a lot and cooked it in different ways. They liked eating beef patties best and they called
them hamburg steaks.
Later when some Germans travelled to America, they also brought hamburg steaks
there. Then Americans put some vegetables and the steak between two pieces of bread.
Soon the food became popular around the whole world.
