Born in 1958 in Changsha, Tan Dun showed an interest in music when he was young. He
loves the sounds of nature. In 1978, he entered the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing
and went on to study in the USA 8 years later. He is good at bringing/mixing different kinds
of music together. As a world-famous composer, he is best known for winning an Oscar for his
music in the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I admire him so much that I hope I can be
a musician like Tan Dun.
