Elephants are big and strong. They are grey. They have big ears, small eyes and long

trunks. Most have tusks. Elephants cannot see well, but they can hear and smell well.

They can lift heavy things and help people do some hard work. Elephants live mainly on

grass, leaves and fruit. They love swimming, bathing and playing in rivers. They are

friendly and seldom hurt people.

Sadly, elephants face serious problems now. Many hunters hunt them for their tusks.

We should stop this. Otherwise, there will be no elephants left in the world.
