The kite was invented by a man called Mozi in the Warring States period. From ancient times till now, people use wood, bamboo, paper, and silk to make kites. Kites have different shapes, such as airplanes, eagles and so on.
Kites are a traditional Chinese handicraft but they are loved by people worldwide. Kite flying is a very popular outdoor activity. Every weekend, I can see many people flying kites in the park. Every year, people from all over the world come to Weifang, Shandong to celebrate the International Kite Festival.
I believe that as a traditional Chinese handicraft, kites should continue to be passed down. We should protect traditional Chinese handicrafts.
